SAFE WALLET
for iPhone 16 PRO MAX
We have been hard at work at BulletTrain on many levels. In case you are not aware, after moving production from China to the U.S., our manufacturer was purchased by another company, which basically destroyed our relationship as they fired our contact we had been working with for years who had been at the company for around 30 years. This forced us to find another U.S. manufacturer, which we have done, so now we are moving full speed ahead again.
This article shows our upcoming 16 Pro Max SAFE WALLET design concept, and we are already in the process of making a number of more changes to it before we make tooling for it, but I wanted to show it to you.
The greatest challenge in my mind as a designer, is how to handle the new dedicated camera button on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which Apple made a complete mess of by making it so low profile, and capacitive. In other words, the whole point of having a dedicated camera button is to make it easy to press the shutter button, but Apple made it so flat, it is flush with the case structure, which make no sense. Standard cameras historically have a shutter button that sticks up proud like a nipple, so it's easy to hit as a target. Our goal is to create a solution that completely overcomes and resolves this issue without affecting the structural integrity of our SAFE WALLET.
The most interesting feature of this 16 PRO MAX SAFE WALLET is perhaps that it's backwards compatible going all the way back to the iPhone 12 PRO MAX. We actually figured out how to make a universal PRO MAX case that fits perfectly and works with the iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 PRO MAX models. How did we achieve this? Magic. When will we have this available for purchase? I don't know, but will update this story soon as more information becomes available...
